Terms & Conditions

Artist Terms and Conditions for “Roots & Reflections” Exhibit at Zoe’s Coffee

By submitting artwork for consideration in the “Roots & Reflections” exhibit at Zoe’s Coffee, the artist agrees to the following terms:

1. Artwork Submission & Selection

  • All submitted work must be original and created by the artist.
  • Artists may submit up to three pieces for consideration.
  • Artwork must be appropriate for a public, family-friendly venue.
  • Submissions will be reviewed by a curator or panel, and acceptance is not guaranteed.
  • Accepted artists will be notified by May 16th.

2. Display Requirements

  • All accepted artwork must be ready to hang (i.e., wired or mounted).
  • Zoe’s Coffee reserves the right to decline artwork that arrives in unsuitable condition or is not presentation-ready.
  • Artists are responsible for delivering and picking up their work on the scheduled dates.

3. Sales & Commission

  • All work must be for sale.
  • Zoe’s Coffee will retain a 15% commission on all sold works.
  • Sales transactions will be handled by Zoe’s Coffee, and payment to the artist will be made within 30 days of the sale.

4. Liability & Insurance

  • While reasonable care will be taken in the handling and display of artwork, Zoe’s Coffee is not responsible for any damage, theft, or loss that may occur during transport, installation, the exhibition period, or removal of the artwork.
  • Artists are encouraged to carry their own insurance if desired.
  • By submitting work, the artist acknowledges and accepts that participation is at their own risk.

5. Promotion & Publicity

  • Zoe’s Coffee may use images of submitted artwork for marketing, promotional materials, and social media related to the exhibit.
  • Artists will be credited whenever their work is used in promotional content.

6. Duration & Pickup

  • Artwork must remain on display for the full duration of the exhibit unless otherwise sold.
  • Artists are responsible for picking up their work during the scheduled deinstallation window.
  • Any artwork not collected within 30 days of the exhibit’s end may be subject to storage fees or considered forfeited.

Agreement

By submitting artwork, the artist agrees to all terms outlined above and understands that failure to comply may result in exclusion from the exhibit.
